Type of Waqf
Waqf is an Islamic socio-economy institution which functions as a source of funding to and catalyst for community and student development. It has demonstrated diverse and remarkable roles throughout the history of Islamic civilization.
Both waqf and endowment are permanent funds with their own specified restriction based on agreement or trust deeds and the principal of which is preserved. The funds are invested and the dividend are used for purposes stipulated by the giver.

Mosque Waqf
• 10 Million Ringgits are required for the construction of the Mosque and Complex of Islamic Centre to provide comfortable and satisfaction facilities among students and staff.
• Currently, there is only surau at the Main Campus UniMAP Pauh Putra with a capacity of 500 people and 626.70 square feet that provide various activities such as courses, religious talks and others. However, the size of the surau is unable to accommodate with the increasing number of staffs and students.
Student Appartment Waqf
• Student Apartment Waqf Fund has been established on 2019 after getting approval from Jawatankuasa Tertinggi Kewangan Universiti 46th Bil.2/2019.
• This fund is created as an initiative for Bahagian Pendanaan, Pusat Keusahawanan, Jaringan Industri dan Masyarakat which now is known as Unit Pendanaan, Jabatan Bendahari to assist university in obtaining funds and subsequently be able to develop waqf land that has been waqf by Ustaz Hassan bin Hj Arshad.
• 11 Million Ringgits in total by the year 2026 are needed for the construction of 44 units of apartments which is estimated RM 250,000 per unit.
General Waqf
• General Cash Waqf Fund has been established as initiative for Bahagian Pendanaan, Pusat Keusahawanan, Jaringan Industri dan Masyarakat which now is known as Unit Pendanaan, Jabatan Bendahari in obtaining funds and to help the development, well-being, welfare of UniMAP students and research activities.
• The target amount to be achieved for this waqf in the year 2026 is 20 Million Ringgit the value is coming from the collection of waqf contributions from staff, corporate companies, banking institutions, individuals and other sources. The Development of Waqf Throughout the History of Islam
